HP-UX problems ?

hello,

Since yesterday I can't connect on hpux with ssh. However the day before yesterday everything was ok.

$ ssh -p 785 gate.polarhome.com
ssh: connect to host gate.polarhome.com port 785: Network is unreachable

EDIT : now everything is OK... but why does this work only occasionaly ?

Hello,

servers were not reachable for almost a day. A main switch, that connets the gateway with the rest of the server park, stopped working. As I am abroad, we all can thank my kind neighbour, who resetted the switch and conneted the backend servers again.

unfortunately, my neighbor's phd in gene-biology was not enough to cope with name service related issues... next time I move it will be an aspect to have an IT oriented neighbor.

I am terribly sorry... but I was locked out from the system.
Normally, I do have a back door as polarhome has two uplinks, but I forgot to set up, as last days before my trip I was dealing with main ISP's modem related problems and I forgot to set up that fail over.
