How should I manage my web page if I can't upload anything? :?

Where exactly is it written that Template accounts can manage their web pages?

I guess, an asterisk below "template account" and next to "host account with disk quota of 20Mb + 5Mb mail +databases" and "personal homepage http://www.polarhome.com:port/~username" in the table given in the "polarhome.com policy" page should mean that or did I get something wrong? Or maybe you meant that it's a reserved space and reserved domain name for later use with shell account?

PS: 10 local currency units are not big money, but I still would like to know what's the real use of the template account or is it just for email

Hm. zoli has to update that page

in reality, template accounts have only email access. the rest of the features are "unlocked" when you validate your account and get shell access.

Web access f t p

Postby subhocverbo_redhat » Fri May 04, 2007 5:14 pm

...don't have f t p...

In case you meant you can't download (or find) an f t p client on whatever machine you use -- maybe (temporarily) public access such as library terminals -- there is Web based f t p. One such utility is at http://www.net2ftp.com (It's not my site -- sometimes I use it; it seems reliable.)

hakim_redhat.

P;ease read the port forwarding , and also please be a where that template account do in fact have ftp access, in your case it would be on on port 791 which is forwarded to port 21.

hakim_redhat

and you wold set your ftp client to the following configuration,

user name: hakim

host: redhat.polarhome.com

port 791 > 21
