Install Windows XP on a laptop with SATA HDD - Driver needed

Hi guys. Long time no see
I need your help on the following issue: I recently bought a laptop with Vista preinstalled on it but I would like to downgrade it to XP. The laptop is a Gateway MT6840 with a WD1600BEVS 160 GB SATA hard drive. The only problem is that the XP setup does not recognise the HDD. I checked alot of forums and I found out that I have to download the SATA driver, copy it on a floopy disk, then hit F6 while the XP setup boots and then install the driver.
Unfortunately I cannot find the necessary driver. Tried to find it on wdc.com, gateway.com and even with Google but I must be out of luck (or blind) cause I couldn't find it. Could you help me? A download link would be much appreciated. Thank you

It took me two minutes on gateways download page to find.. it is also very odd that gateway doesnot list your model but MT6830 that is almost similar.
