What can you suggest me on that?

P.S. Great thanks to Z for temporarily raising the disk quota.

Hi,

Which server? - Also, I am assuming thats 3.2.5 you are putting on there? Did you ask for zlib/ssl/ipv6?

A paste of your ./configure script would be great.

Yeah, you`re right, sjaz. I`m compiling unrealircd 3.2.5 on debian with support for SSL, ZIPlinks and remote includes (i think that libcurl is the problem). heres the /Config output:

Hi Spy,

I had just posted to say it compiled successfully on redhat but noticed you are indeed using Debian.

Sadly, I don't have a shell on there, or if I do, I don't know my login for it. I shall speak to Zoli on that one.

It looks like two problems, libcurl and a restriction being met with regarding to forking rights, this is probably something Zoli can temporarily relax.

He will see this post no doubt and hopefully advise.

Thanks for the immediate reply :) I truly hope that this issue can be solved, because that shell is a big part of what I have on the net and I have already asked zoli to raise my quota, so i feel a little confused :)

The quota is a quota on hard disk space since unreal is such a stupidly huge ircd. - There are other quota's per say which include cpu time, memory etc, and I believe that is where you are having an issue.

Hmm is there anything can be done, or should I give up that idea?

Spy: Read my signature. However i'm sure all will be sorted out. .)

Maybe i can try to compile it at home, for you. I did this for mine. I coulnd compile it at polarhome so i compiled it at home :)

Do i need to have a debian OS or it's enough to compile it at fedora and run it on a debian? Kernel is the same right (2.6.x).

Well... I'm still a newbie... :? But i'm trying to help.

Thanks, but I think its no use. I have a debian machine at home and I theoretically could do everything here, but when the ircd is being compiled with SSL support, it generates a certificate that I think is unique for every machine. If its not, I`ll compile it at home.

Hi,

Unfortunately, I do not have a shell on debian so I cannot test. A certificate generated at home won't work. You need Zoli to look at the forking issue.

Also, compiling on any other machine letalone fedora will not work as libraries will be in different places.

hi,

sorry for late reply :(

fork problem exists because of process number limit that was 15 and I raised it for all debian users.

You can find curl-config at /usr/bin/curl-config

Good luck.

Thanks, zoli. Everything compiled ok. The disk quota can be lowered back to normal now.
