Hi,

can you describe (or provide a link) to what you are trying to run?

Is this a bot, a game or...

However as long as it is not resource-hungry it should run.

From my understanding its similar to an eggdrop in that it runs on a shell and joins an irc channel. The idea being to idle and get points for idling the longest. Battles also exist whereby time is the penalty (or prize). If your version runs on linux, it should work fine on polarhome.

sjaz has it right; its an irc bot written in perl which creates a game in whic players idle in a channel. players gain levels based on their idling time and are penalised for speaking, parting, quitting, etc. it sounds incredibly lame and boring but once you get a few of your friends playing it becomes pretty competitive ;)

sure... it is allowed as long you do not use too much resources. I guess an idle counting process must me a very nice process.
