hi,

I would be able to help you... but we do not change hosts, usernames etc for users.
Not because it is not possible, but because if this would be allowed than 100k users would just move here and there and it will be a real nightmare to serve.

Sorry because of that...
Regards,
Z

Fastest server?
You're using it right now.

FreeBSD slow?!

Host freebsd.polarhome.com at your service.
2:39AM up 223 days, 5:04, 1 user, load averages: 1.10, 0.94, 0.99

If you call THAT slow, then i wonder how you will call redhat..

Host redhat.polarhome.com at your service.
02:33:30 up 77 days, 6:50, 5 users, load average: 10.62, 22.35, 20.58

yes... the fact is that polarhome does not run on high end hardware and servers are loaded like professional servers that usually need high end hardware.

If somebody would donate ten high end proliants and some 10-50Mbps uplink. polarhome would be a diffenet story.

I like polarhome the way it is :)
RedHat is gonna be 10x faster once all non-paid accounts will have their WWW disabled. hooray :)

But i'm just happy that all the people who boggled FreeBSD to death are now gone, and that sweet little thing is fast once more :)
[@Chaz, remember the days of ~15.00 loads on FreeBSD? -_-]

Done...

please note that freebsd users may expect some downtime - because filesystem needs to be reconfigured.
