Debian Eggdrop Failure

I'm having problems starting my eggdrop on Debian. When I type the usual command, I get the following:

sparky@debian:/home/e/eggdrop$ ./eggdrop /home/e/eggdrop/amberley.conf
./eggdrop: error while loading shared libraries: libtcl8.2.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory


The crontabbed autobotchk script obviously doesn't work either. Can someone have a look into this please

Obviuosli libtcl8.2.so.1 got lost druring the upgrade. Mail support@polarhome.com and request it to be apt-geted.

Or compile eggdrop yourself and take advantage of the updated tcl toolkit without relying on the build in /home/e/eggdrop.

unfortunately /home/e/eggrop is not updated/recompiled yet.
Will be fixed by the end of next week.

I didn't know we could compile our own eggdrop builds sjaz, might try that in the near future. There's no rush anyway

I don't remember on which system, but on one of them you can't compile eggdrop due to gcc using your home dir as /tmp, and all of the files get written there at compile-time, resulting in your quota limit being reached and the compile failing.

hm. or did that get fixed too?

Hm.. I couldn't compile it on solaris but that's problably just me being a n00b there.

I've compiled it before on my RedHat system. Uploaded the archive yesterday, just waiting to get some time to compile

in fact this is my fault... I promised to fix this. So now it is fixed.

There is an 1.6.18 installed in /home/e/eggdrop and you can use it as you did it earlier.

Yes matej, I did try removing some modules, but I tried that compile a few weeks ago, and I realised today that DenisF had explained something along the lines of what was happening, and I simply posted what messages I was getting. I was going to try recompiling again tonight
