phpnuke problems

Postby jjack » Tue Dec 14, 2004 4:40 am

Hey, I know this isn't the PHPNuke support forums =p but I was hoping maybe someone here would know what's up, since I guess some have you have installed it on your polarhome account before. Basically when I try to run index.php or admin.php I get a whole lot of errors, such as:

Warning: main(language/lang-.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/s/soclabor/public_html/mainfile.php on line 183

If you want to see the complete list of errors, just go ahead and check out my site: http://mandrake.polarhome.com/~soclabor/index.php

I read the PHPNuke FAQ and it suggested that this may be a problem with my database or the info I put in config.php. However, that's contrary to what all the test scripts such as analyze.php are telling me. They seem to be able to connect to it fine. I wonder what's up?

I gotcha.. =)

Well, I figured out what it was. For some reason I decided that I didn't need to include the prefixes in my config.php file. Then about five hours later I thought "Well, maybe since no one ever said I should delete those I should just set them back to the way it came". Viola.

Thanks anyway!

that's odd, seems like apache was killed for some reason, but the PIDs weren't removed [so i didn't get notified].

anyways, restarted. hopefully it won't crash now.

Thanks for the heads-up ! :)

Warning: mail() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/n/nicky86/public_html/modules/Your_Account/index.php on line 146

Why is this so? it happens when there is a new user signing up.

What DenisF is trying to say is that mail() is disabled under disable_sockets. You need a user hack which was on this forum somewhere so im sure if you search you will find it.

What my esteemed colleague meant above is disable_functions, and not disable_sockets
