can't connect to irc proxy

i was trying to connect to the irc proxy like polar home described:

start your favorite chat client (irc, mirc or whatever)
go to the server irc.polarhome.com on port 8080 (port is very important otherwise you can not make the connection)
after successful connection add command  /quote conn <your_irc_server_name>
... and you can use IRC as all other normal chatters without the firewall problems.

but when i try to connect to irc.polarhome.com on port 8080 it gives me this:

*** Connecting to irc.polarhome.com (8080)
-
Local host: uranio ("ip")
-
*** Unable to connect (Connection refused)

Just use post 6667 and not 8080.

Port 6667 is the irc server not proxy.
