mysql on freebsd extremly slow

is it common, that the mysql connections of your freebsd
server are so slow or is it only this day? hope it'll change
soon, because i'd like to use my project in combination
with the database. thanks.

With loads like that, slow mysql access is excpected, to say the least.

ive been waiting about 90 seconds for a login prompt which i figure will time out once its displayed.

Someone/thing is borking bsd.
