Hi all!

I've just found my way here and am very interested in setting up a bnc on a shell. Thing is im all new to this and needs some initial advice. In the application form im supposed to fill in wich operative system i prefer for the shell. My question is simply put; which operative system is the best to use for someone who is new to this?

I'd suggest Redhat or Debian. Linux is the most easy one, so you should better play it safe.
FreeBSD is good too.

You're welcome!

Make sure you first register as an FTP user and then send the application for shell (so that you can include the system/username info).

Yeah, i've already registered as FTP user, got my first email from polarhome, and has accessed my account by FTP so, so far so good. Now im just gonna print out the application form somewhere cause my printer died recently.

Unfortunantely i have already sent the application. But since i'm in .se it probably will arrive pretty fast anyway
