Python web module?

Postby alejoar » Sat Jul 04, 2015 4:44 pm

Hi polarhome:

Is it possible to use Python's web module?
For instance, to make a simple dynamic webpage.

Right now I see it is not installed (at least not in redhat).

I'm not sure it would work tho. By default it uses port 8080.

Any insight on this subject appreciated.

PS: Thank you Zoli for bringing redhat back :)

EDIT: Well I managed to install it (for my user only) and when I launch it, instead of making itself available in my path, it launches at www.polarhome.com:8080. Am I allowed to do this? If no, I'm really sorry, wasn't expecting it to do that. I still can't figure how can I make it use my path.

Hi,
mod_python is not installed per default - however it can be installed.

Sorry for the bad news: it is not back. It still has problems with the disk and still waits for the real reinstallation - but I will have time to do that just in August.

You may use any free port you want, but keep in mind the forwarded ports are split among the hosts.

Alright, thank you, Zoli. Should have seen that before asking, sorry.
