SW request: emacs on openbsd

Postby rick_openbsd » Fri Jan 31, 2014 10:48 pm

Hello Z,

Any chance I can get emacs on openbsd? 24.3 would be cool, but any version from OpenBSD ports is OK, for example. (BTW, I don't know how you install extra sw on your openbsd host, or what your policy is.)

Sorry to bother you. I tried to just build it myself, but the quota is too small (as it probably should be). Another way of saying that is that emacs is too damn big! :)

Thanks! --Rick

Hello Rick,

no problem at all - I have installed emacs from ports:

bash-4.1# emacs --version
GNU Emacs 22.3.1
Copyright (C) 2008 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
GNU Emacs comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY.
You may redistribute copies of Emacs
under the terms of the GNU General Public License.
For more information about these matters, see the file named COPYING.

about quota - on all systems 200M is the default quota so far, but if somebody needed higher it was always raised.
Just let me know.
Regards,
Z
