translit -- change characters in inrange to outrange

Synopsis

translit inrange outrange string

Description

Translates characters in string, changing characters occurring in inrange to the corresponding characters in outrange. inrange and outrange may be a list of characters or a range in the form ``A-M''. For example:

translit a-z A-Z foobar

returns FOOBAR.
