Description
The /etc/sm/record and /etc/sm/recover

daemon. Each hostname in /etc/sm/record
represents the name of the machine to be monitored by the
statd daemon. Each hostname in
/etc/sm/recover represents the name of the

its recovery.
The /etc/sm/state plain text file is generated by the
statd daemon and records its current version number.
