Assign a Single Character to a Key

Specifies the character to be assigned to a particular key position.

Assign a Function to a Key

Specifies the function to be assigned to a particular key position.

Assign a String to a Key

Specifies the character string to be assigned to a particular key position.

Assign a Nonspacing Character to a Key

Specifies the nonspacing character to be assigned to a particular key position.

Change Language Environment

Changes the primary locale (language-territory-code set) specified in the /etc/environment file. The choice of the language environment affects the means of handling collation, character typing, time of day representation, numeric representation, monetary representation, and message translation.

Many language-territory combinations are supported by more than one code set. Be careful when changing language environments to assure the code set of the locale chosen matches the user's needs, the keyboard mapping, and font selection.

For the change to the language environment to become effective, you must first log off and then log in again to the system.

Unconfigure any Child Devices

An adapter may not be removed if any child devices have not been unconfigured. If you specify yes, the system attempts to recursively unconfigure any child devices before trying to unconfigure the specified adapter device. If you specify no, the system tries to unconfigure the specified adapter device only.
