Select this option to migrate the selected LPAR if all configuration requirements are meet. The partition you have selected is the partition that will be migrated.


Specify the hostname or the IP address of source HMC. The source HMC is the HMC managing the source system for the migration.


Specify the username for source HMC. The source HMC is the HMC managing the source system for the migration. The HMC user must have user authority to do partition migration.


Specify "no" if source and destination systems are managed by same HMC. Specify "yes" if the source and destination systems are managed by different HMCs. The default value is "no".

Note: Before you specify "yes" you must run the mkauthkeys command on the source HMC.


Specify the hostname or IP address of the remote HMC. The remote HMC is the HMC that is managing the destination system.

Note: This value is only used if you have selected "yes" for Migration between two HMCs, otherwise, this value is ignored.


Specify the username for remote HMC. The remote HMC is the HMC that is managing the destination system.

Note: This value is only used if you have selected "yes" for Migration between two HMCs, otherwise, this value is ignored.


Specify the name of source system for migration. The source system is the system on which the migrating partition currently resides.


Specify the name of destination system for migration. The destination system is the system that you plan on moving the mobile partition to.


Specify the name of the migrating partition. The migrating partition is the partition that you want to move to the destination system.


Specify "no" if you want to perform migration without performing validation. Specify "yes" if you want to perform migration validation only. If you specify "yes" migration will not be performed, and only the validation is performed. The default value is "no".


These options allow you to list or change the current edition of the system. The edition refers to the license management edition used with the IBM Tivoli License Management (ITLM) software. Supported edition values are express, standard, and enterprise.


Displays the edition of the system. Possible values are, express, standard, or enterprise.


Allows you to change the current edition of the system.


Allows you to change the current edition of the system and for a device or directory to be specified that contains images to be installed from the edition specific bundle file. A preview installation may be performed. Default installp flags of "acNgX" are used. To install the bundle file with other install options you can utilize the install_bundle SMIT fastpath.


Specify the edition you want to select for the system. Selects the License Manager signature file that corresponds to the IBM edition you purchased. Possible values are, express, standard, and enterprise.


The unconfigure command returns Electronic Service Agent to the base installation state, discarding all configuration information and customizations, including customer contact information and location data.


Creates an Enhanced Concurrent Capable volume group. Use this option only with Power HA.


Specify the total number of partitions in the volume group, where the Partitions variable is represented in units of 1024 partitions. Valid values are 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 768, 1024, and 2048. The default value is 32 k (32768 partitions).

Note: You can use the chvg command to increase the number of partitions up to the maximum number of 2048 k (2097152 partitions).


Specify the number of logical volumes that can be created. Valid values are 256, 512, 1024, 2048, and 4096. The default value is 256.

Note: You can use the chvg command to increase the number of logical volumes up to the maximum number of 4096. The last logical volume is reserved for metadata.


Enables mirror pool strictness for the volume group.

Specifies the subnet mask of the specified network you want to add to the NIM environment. You must enter the subnetmask in IPv6 Colon Hexadecimal Notation.


Displays the subnet mask of the selected network. It also allows you to make changes for the existing network. You must enter the subnetmask in IPv6 Colon Hexadecimal Notation.


The 'Verify Electronic Service Agent Connectivity' command tests all points of network connectivity to IBM servers from the Electronic Service Agent.
