Special characters?

How can i make my homepage to display spanish special characters not used in the english alphabet, such as these ones:
ñ, á, é, í, ó, ú

When any of them have to be displayed it is shown an ampty little box, like if it were in japanese, do you understand?

EDIT: BTW, Im on the red hat server.

If Apache wont send non-Latin1 characters, you can enter Unicode characters as &#xxxx; where xxxx is the 4-digit Unicode value.
See my homepage (ulr in sig., below) for an example with Hebrew letters.
