I'm planning to upgrade to shell account very soon and I'm wondering if it's allowed to run any background tasks in shell. Basicly, what I need is a little piece of software that would allow my local apache server to be available to the whole world. That is not possible ATM, because I'm in a network with a NAT firewall installed.
Software is called redir and it listens a user defined port on a server and forwards it through putty forwarding to my machine...
I would use it to possibly host a forum for my friends and to let them download few files from my computer now and then.
Thanks for your answer!
