mysql on redhat down?

Is the redhat mysql server dead at the moment? An phpbb forum of mine running there has been failing during the past few days:

Could not connect to the database

I just checked with usermin on redhat, and that says

Code: Select all

MySQL is not running on your system - database list could not be retrieved.
