Problems installing e107, php portal

I tried installing e107, an open source php portal found at http://e107.org/

However when i try to run the install.php i get these errors:

does safemode hinder the ability do install such portals?

by the way i'ld like to compliment the host owners as polarhome has met all my needs so far, and is one of the best hosts ive come across (it far exceeds the quality of your standard geocities account )

thanks guys, btw are u sysadmins here? or just been with polarhome for a while?

my portal is at tech-net.cjb.net
at the moment there is not much but i will be adding some of my programmed software soon....

the front page of my portal sometimes takes a while to load, is that due to server upload bandwidth or the geographical distance... im in australia?

Well no, the only sysadmin is zoli, he admins all polarhome servers, we are just moderators who try to help here and there!

Well all polarhome's servers are using a single 1024kbps line, that is why in peak times your site might take a while to load. Since you are in Australia I guess the delay is even worse...

OTOH, the a.m. where you are is probably when Polarhome is least loaded... try it and let us know.
