Solaris loop mount an iso image

Postby zoli » Wed Dec 12, 2007 1:39 pm

Hello,

I thought it is worth to share this knowledge - it was not that straight forward for me.

Make the block device with “loviadm”:
lofiadm -a /home/inferno/cdimage.iso /dev/lofi/1

Mount the image as a read-only filesystem:
mount -F hsfs -o ro /dev/lofi/1 /home/inferno/mount

Haha... you guessed right. I have installed Inferno emu on Solaris. Seems it works well - unfortunately this is not really for the public yet... :(
Regards,
Z
