Can anyone recommend a good mail virus scanner [linux based, ofcourse] to be used on Mandrake?

Tnx in advance.

[PS, i already have an anti virus there, but it's reeaaaly slow, and loads the poor celeron cpu more than apache does. i'm looking for something nice and clean like spamassassin is to spam.]

Well, after countless hours benchmarking different mail scanners, i came to the conclusion that having a live scanner is just not an option for the poor celly 300, when i sent 10 emails/minute [all with different viruses] the mail server would just crash and the cpu load would quantiple itself. [0.08 no scanner, 0.50+ with scanner] and that's not a hit that i'm willing to take.

In any case, i went for BitDefender Linux Version [they made me type that with caps :(], great free and fast anti virus scanner :)
hey - it caught that dude with the slapper worm, didn't it? 8)

Hi there!

check out: http://www.free-av.com/

I didn't used the mailgate version but the AntiVir for my Workstation and I am satisfied :-)

Maybe you can check out as well and let us know?

thanks,
